Hi, I'm Naomi
I am the face behind Grounded Nutrition & Counselling . I am a Nutritionist and Counsellor (registered with ACA and NSA) based in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia. I offer online Counselling and Nutrition Coaching.
I help empower individuals to become more grounded and better equipped to cope with life’s challenges and make their own informed decisions for their health.
About Me
Nutrition and mental health have always been a big part of my life. I have experienced both ends of the spectrum when it comes to my relationship with food and nutrition knowledge, so I understand how consuming and complicated it can feel!
I understand what its like to feel like you don't have control of your life, feel unheard or not sure if you're heading in the right direction. Sometimes we need a helping hand to process whatever is going on in our lives. We all experience difficult things that can often impact us greatly and I am here to guide you along that path for whatever reason you have chosen to seek counselling or nutrition coaching for.
My professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Majors in Nutrition and Exercise Science) with a further study sequence for Dietetics and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from Deakin University. I am always undertaking ongoing CPD in both Nutrition and Counselling to build upon my current knowledge and expertise in order to provide the most up to date and best practices so that I can help you best!
Why Grounded?
Being grounded means having a strong connection to who we are, creating a state of physical and emotional balance. By working on becoming more grounded it means that when life throws us a curve-ball we have the ability to stay calm and connected to who we are whilst dealing with the uncertainty we may be facing. The practice of being grounded allows us to stay present, self-aware, emotionally stable and connected to our environment whilst working on whatever is going on.

Counselling
I provide you with a safe, confidential and judgement free space, where you will be supported to explore at your own pace for whatever reason you have chosen to seek counselling for. I practice using a person-centred approach as I believe each individual has their own unique experiences and circumstances that they bring to the therapeutic space that make them the experts in their life and that not one singular approach will fit every person. I combine this with an integrative approach which allows for a more individualised and holistic approach by combining ideas and techniques from a range of therapeutic modalities to suit your needs, which I believe allows for a more flexible and inclusive approach in counselling because everyone is different!
Some of the main techniques I use in my practice include:
I provide support to adults for a wide range of concerns, including: General wellbeing, anxiety, depression and low mood, relationship break ups/stress, burnout, self-esteem, work-life balance, life transitions, managing stress and life dissatisfaction.
I understand it can be daunting to seek counselling; therefore, I offer a free 10-minute call where we can discuss whether we will be a good fit, what you would like to work on and go from there. Click here to book in a free 10-minute call or here to book a session.
